Get your taste buds ready! Tickets are now on sale for the Horowhenua Taste Trail. The event an adventure through Horowhenua specialist food producers takes place on Saturday November 25, showcasing eight producers and a dairy farm.

The event was first held in 2016 and in it’s inaugural year was a huge hit. This year organisers have added to the offering, and participants will see a series of events “Tasters” accompanying the Taste Trail.
Taster events include an Indian Vegetarian Cooking Class, and a Little White Rabbit champagne breakfast in the Tendertips Asparagus Packhouse.
A unique event has been organized to start the trail off with something a bit special. “The Horowhenua Food Story” is a cocktail party to be held on Friday night, 24th November, catered for by Ruth Pretty. This will mark the first event at Te Awahou Niuewe Stroom following it’s opening the week before, and showcase the finest and freshest Horowhenua produce.
Events Co-ordinator Kristy McGregor says the events are designed to create a festival like atmosphere over the week of the Trail.
“We are trying to offer experiences that you wouldn’t get otherwise, from indepth, hands on workshops using the produce, to food experiences that devour the taste buds.
Each experience tells a little more about the produce and brings people closer to where their food comes from. And learning how to cook a new recipe is always lots of fun!”
With only limited numbers of tickets available for the taster events, they are expected to sell out quickly.

Tickets: Tickets are on sale now via the Horowhenua Taste Trail website. Visit http://www.tastetrail.co.nz/your-taste-trail-adventure.html
